How to build your personal brand

Your personal brand is how you show up both online and in real life. Today we can all be broadcasters, we all have access to free online platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We all have the ability to use these platforms to connect and engage with a range of audiences. Today, getting ahead, whether that’s within an organisation or working for yourself involves an element of marketing yourself.

Personal brand isn’t about pretending to be something you’re not. It’s about being your best ‘real you’. It’s about owning your strengths, it’s about being purposeful about how you want to be perceived by others and it’s about enjoying being you.

Even if you're self isolating, social distancing and working from home you still have a personal brand. With the rapidly changing working and social environment, how you show up is perhaps even more important than ever before.

Our expert speaker is Antoinette Oglethorpe, a leadership development and career management specialist. Join us to learn practical tips about:

  • Why your personal brand is important for your career development
  • How to define and develop your own personal brand
  • Being your authentic self and standing out from the crowd
  • Simple tips to start building your personal brand today.

' I found the Not9to5 and Lucidity Network event really inspiring. It made me challenge the status quo and I made some really useful connections.' Beth Gardner, Lucidity Network Member

This event is hosted by the Lucidity Network and Not9to5. We're not going to let COVID-19 get in the way of networking. We collaborate on these events to bring like-minded people together so they can connect and learn and for the first time we are going to do this online. For you it's a great opportunity to meet interesting people and get a dose of inspiration from our guest speaker. The big difference is that this time you provide the drinks and nibbles, you won't have to queue for the cheeseboard and you won't need to map-read to get there.

Not9to5 enables others to thrive outside of the 9-to-5. They are passionate about supporting you and your organisation to work in a way that best suits you. Their innovative training and bespoke consultancy services have proven results, utilising their expertise to enable you to make change, develop new skills and gain practical tools which ensure you have all you need to succeed within the changing nature of work.
